THE HIMALAYAS
& BEYOND
The exotic country of Nepal is the setting for this exciting multi-sport exploration of the Himalayas. We trek into the Everest area, on an amazing trek not overburdened by tourists. These mountains possess some of the most spectacular scenery on Earth and are so large they dwarf anything created by the hand of man. We trek through wonderful villages and visit with families not used to seeing outsiders. Don't think the adventure is over when the trek ends, we will take you beyond the mountains. In the air, we fly up to the side of Mount Everest and take a dawn balloon ride to view amazing Himalayan scenery. On water, those who are interested will do some exciting white-water rafting. We mountain bike through small remote villages and abundant scenery and even try our hand at canyoning. In Royal Bardia National Park, we ride an elephant in search of Bengal Tiger and Rhino. All of these activities allow you to see the culture, history, scenery, and wildlife of Nepal in the most exciting way possible! This adventure includes an abundance of activities and extras that sets it apart from most Nepal expeditions. Our treks are fully staffed and all camps are independent, allowing greater privacy and scenery than the tea houses. The rafting portion is on the class IV Bhote Kosi River, an exciting alternative to the calm waters of the class III Trisuli River. And the remote Bardiya National Park boasts a much higher number of Tiger sightings than the more often visited and overcrowded Chitwan Park. Outer Edge's high standards of quality and excitement have shaped this multi-sport exploration of Nepal into an adventure like no other! Itinerary Highlights
